Out for a walk with Tess today I noticed these branches which were trimmed off a tree that succumbed during the storm a couple of weeks ago. What got me about them was the brightness and vibrancy of the colour in the branches, and how it contrasted with the almost-monochrome appearance of the land where the tree had fallen.
