Have you any idea how hard it is to get information about public art in Falkirk without being overwhelmed by Kelpies-related content? Trust me, it’s not easy!

Anyway, this is the Vinegar Bottle. This piece of public art stands near Lock 5 of the Forth and Clyde Canal in Falkirk town centre, and apparently commemorates the Macauley vinegar works that used to be nearby.

I haven’t been able to find anything much about the creator of the statue, and in truth I really had hoped it was something to do with Irn Bru. But it’s still pretty cool!
