So the snow has (for now) started to take its leave, and is gradually melting. As it does so, it leaves behind patterns that, just like clouds, are open to interpretation.
For me, this protrusion of snow – still clinging on in spite of gravity’s best efforts – is reminiscent of the opening of Star Wars IV – A New Hope. A huge Empire ship flies above the little Rebel vessel that is carrying Princess Leia, and as she records a desperate plea for help, pulls the small ship in with its tractor beam.
This spear of semi-frozen snow is that Empire ship…
