My thought was that I would take the dog for a lunchtime walk, there would be glorious blue sky, I would look across the Ochils and see a beautiful snow line half way down the hills. The only part that actually happened was that I took the dog to the park.

But while there, I noticed the Kelpies. I have never spotted them from Quarry Park before, but today I guess the sun was on them. “Shine Bright Like A Diamond” goes the song, and they were certainly doing that.

After taking the photo I moved away, and when I looked back to the Kelpies a few minutes later, I couldn’t pick them out – lost in a sea of grey buildings and the mist. I suppose that it’s appropriate for mythical creatures, to come and go, but it was nice to see them, even if only for a moment
