Okay, this is a bit of a weird thing. It’s a cardboard bottle of wine. I have no idea what it will taste like, but I’ll try anything once!
I suspect that it’s going to be a plastic bag inside, with cardboard forming the outer shell. The bottle certainly is a lot lighter than a glass bottle would be, so less fuel is used in transporting it from wherever it was bottled to the supermarket. But then, you’re using a plastic bag inside the bottle. So overall, is this better for the environment than a conventional bottle? I have no idea how such considerations are weighed against each other!
